Committed to providing quality educational and  outcomes  assessment services

Philosophy and Mission

My Philosophy:
I believe the commitment to assess student learning to ensure continuous improvement is part of who you are and what you do as an educator. Therefore, faculty should embrace the student learning outcomes process.

Because of my diverse background, my perspective of outcomes assessment is multifaceted.

First, I view assessment as a faculty member wanting to improve student learning and ultimately student success.

Second, I view assessment
through the eyes of an accreditation evaluator wanting to see documentation that a process has been deployed, learning has taken place, and changes have been made for improvement.

Finally, in this era of accountability, I view assessment as a developer of assessment techniques and processes, striving to provide support and useful data to faculty and institutions.

My Mission:
To provide quality education consulting, develop learner-center assessment-based online learning resources, and outcomes assessment services to support for faculty dealing with the day-to-day challenges in teaching and educational assessment.

Who am I?
I am an advocate for outcomes assessments and the development of student learning outcomes. I focus on providing support for faculty dealing with the day-to-day challenges in educational assessment and planning.

I received my Masters of Accountancy from the University of South Carolina and have the following certifications:
Certified Public Accountant (South Carolina), Accredited Tax Adviser, Accredited Business Accountant and Charted Global Management Accountant.

I taught for over 25 years at
Midlands Technical College, Columbia SC. My  resume  and VITA include serving as the Chair of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Program (ACBSP) Associate-Degree Board of Commissioners, co-director of the MTC Assessment Institute, and the past-president of ACBSP.

Currently, I serve on the Accreditation Governance Board for ACBSP. In addition, I assisted with the successful implementation of a college-wide student learning outcomes assessment process at my college and conduct numerous workshops and presentations at institutions, national and international conferences.
